Michael Alcamo

Michael Alcamo, the firm's President, is an experienced and successful mergers and acquisitions adviser, private equity investor and workouts specialist.  He advises media and communications firms and private equity investors on strategic acquisitions and dispositions, recapitalizations, strategic assessments, market analyses, and investor relations strategies.

The firm has particular domain expertise in advising broadcasters and holders of FCC spectrum in strategic sale transactions, including secondary transactions and FCC spectrum auctions. The firm's merchant banking expertise extends to complex corporate workouts, the resolution of joint ventures or illiquid portfolio investments, and real estate matters.

The firm has worked closely with private equity managers responsible for nearly $15 billion in private capital, and is a trusted adviser and partner to business owners, entrepreneurs, and other investment banks.

From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Alcamo as served as CEO and General Partner of HPJ Media Ventures Fund LLC, a private equity fund that acquired and developed communications companies.  He also served as President of Baltic Investments Limited, an institutional fund that oversaw the turnaround and successful disposition of investments in Central Europe.

Previously, Mr. Alcamo advised media, communications, technology and energy firms in the capital markets group at White & Case LLP, the international law firm.  He was based in that firm's offices in New York, Helsinki, Stockholm, Prague and Warsaw.

Mr. Alcamo is a graduate of Princeton University and the New York University School of Law, and he is active in civic and educational organizations.  In September, 2016, Mr. Alcamo was inducted into the South Huntington (N.Y.) Hall of Fame.  From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Alcamo served as a Director of the Princeton Club of New York, Inc., holding four-year terms as Treasurer and as Vice President for Finance.  During this period, he helped pilot the organization's financial turnaround.
